The venue: your dream setting

The venue is like a movie set — it sets the mood! Forget the soulless community hall (sorry, but it had to be said 😅). Choose a place that truly makes your heart beat faster:

✸ Adventure lovers? A mountain chalet or a wild beach
✸ Romantic souls? A château or a Provençal farmhouse
✸ Bohemian spirit? A countryside estate under the stars (with a nomadic tent, it’s pure magic!)

Our little tip: visit the venue at the same time of day as your wedding. Light is our best friend when it comes to creating dreamy images!

Let’s be honest, timing is THE key!

Recipe for a perfectly balanced wedding timeline

Preparation time: several months of excitement

Cooking time: one full day of intense emotions

Servings: for all your loved ones (and especially for you)

Difficulty level: accessible, with a bit of organisation and lots of letting go

Essential ingredients:

✸ One generous dose of time for getting ready

✸ A pinch of an intimate first look

✸ Zero trips to the town hall on the wedding day (optional but highly recommended)

✸ Two big spoonfuls of golden hour for couple photos

✸ A touch of lightness when it comes to activities

✸ A beautiful ladle of love, laughter and amazing people around you

Preparation :

1. Slow-cooked preparations (not on high heat) Don’t rush the opening act. Allow enough time to get dressed without speed-running it, toast with your loved ones, hug your friends and capture those moments — the ones we forget far too quickly.

2. A first look gently simmered : Whether it’s with your partner or your dad, take a real moment. Five minutes barely gives you time to blink. Give yourselves an emotional cocoon without a stopwatch — and savour every single second.

3. The town hall as the day-before dish (to avoid on the wedding day) : Let’s not beat around the buffet: the town hall is rarely the sexiest setting. And timing-wise, it’s the dish that can throw everything else off. Our advice? Take it off the main menu.

4. Couple photos, crème brûlée style : Golden, soft, magical… and at golden hour, nothing else will do. It’s not a photographer’s whim, it’s the secret recipe for images that crackle with light and love.

5. A light evening, easy to digest : Too many activities = too little time with your guests. Choose a simple but memorable dessert: music, smiles, hugs, and maybe one or two speeches… but not a full cabaret show.
   
   

   
   

The outfits: your star moment!

It’s your day, you’re the stars! A few little tips to help you shine:

✸ Choose fabrics that make you feel comfortable (trust me, dancing all night in an uncomfortable outfit is not ideal 😅)

✸ Think “movement” for video (a dress that twirls always looks magical on camera!)

✸ Match your outfits to the style of the venue (a tailcoat tuxedo at a countryside wedding can feel a bit out of place…)

Our secret: we love filming a few shots of your outfits on their own before you put them on. So choose some beautiful hangers — it makes all the difference!

4. Getting ready: where the magic begins

Getting ready sets the mood for your film and your photos. Here are my little tips to make this moment perfect:

• Choose a beautiful, light-filled room (bye-bye dark little spaces!)

• Say goodbye to sweatpants and hello to a pretty robe or pareo

• Keep your space tidy (we avoid open suitcases and bags of chips on the bed 😉)

• Choose makeup and a hairstyle that truly reflect who you are (you should recognise yourself!)

Pro tip: Prepare a pretty “details box” with all your essentials (rings, jewellery, shoes…). It makes things easier for us — and looks much nicer for you!

5. Stress management: our specia

Are you stressed at the idea of being filmed and photographed? That’s totally normal! That’s exactly why we offer an engagement session. It allows us to get to know each other, helps you get comfortable with our cameras, and on the big day, it feels just like having friends capturing your happiness!
